Human-Elephant Coexistence Through Aligning Conservation With Societal Aspirations
Antoinette van de Water (directeur en oprichter van Bring The Elephant Home) heeft een grote mijlpaal bereikt op weg naar haar doctoraat. Het eerste hoofdstuk van haar doctoraat, Mens-olifant coëxistentie door natuurbehoud op één lijn te brengen met maatschappelijke ambities, is gepubliceerd in het wetenschappelijke tijdschrift Global Ecology and Conservation. Haar co-auteurs en zij hebben bijna 3 jaar gewerkt aan de ontwikkeling van het TUSKER-raamwerk dat ze in dit artikel presenteren. Dit betekent ook dat Antoinette officieel gekwalificeerd is om haar scriptie in te dienen bij de Universiteit van KwaZulu-Natal.
